🤣😂 I'm still using this with my shield, Logitech Z906 - 5.1 😂🤣

Then again my wife is deaf on 1 ear, and as long it sooths my needs its great.

Neighbors sometime still complain about the sound 😁

I had a Logitech 5.1 years ago but not as fancy as that one, if it works it works :)

I'm very lucky I have made my main lounge into my cinema room and I get to use it everyday without the family complaining too much...I even watch my daily youtube on my projector setup.

But our eyes and ears do get used to it, they build a tolerance just like eating spicy food!! Whenever I've been away for a few days and I come back it's a bit overwhelming and a new experience again.

I've never asked my neighbours how they feel, no one has complained yet ;)

Which Denon have you gone for? I have the X3800H.

I was always running Onkyo, always loved the industrial look and cost/performance.

I have the x3600h.  So far so good with this one but I'm less critical now about these kinds of things than I used to be.  I use it probably every day

Don’t think there’s much difference between the two. Only thing I use is the Auro-3D as it gives a better result to my ears than the other upmixers.

It’s always difficult comparing receivers, unless you have the time and ability to switch out different models.

One thing I have noticed is I can push the denon louder than my onkyo, at a point the onkyo would sound uncomfortable.

Not sure if that’s because the calibration is better with the demon, or the Atmos speakers help in some way, or maybe the new paint on the walls is absorbing reflections better, who knows ;)

Just be happy with what you’ve bought!!

I would like to get into room treatments with regard to sound, but it's just not something I'd get away with aesthetically.

If I started sticking random stuff on the walls I'd have to get rid of my sub-woofers as a compromise :(
