Can't connect remotely

Hello:

I'm having difficulty connecting remotely to my server - I've tried using the app, using the Roku app and through the web.  I'm able to log in and see the server name, but when I click on it I just see the circle until it says it can't connect.  It looks like I have all the remote settings on (but I could be missing something).  Any tips?

Do you mean here that you are logging in using an Emby Connect account login?

And is this the "Select Server" screen ?

Are you using default public port for remote access ? Did you setup a port forward manually in your router or using the Emby Server uPnP automatic mapping of the port ?

What happens when you are on a local machine in where the server is and you go in a browser to https://canyouseeme.org and enter the public port you are using for remote access ? 

And if you look at the dashboard for Emby server and use the WAN url in a browser on a remote machine / device - what do you get ? It shows as "Remote (WAN) access" with a url - you can try this url remotely in a browser

I'm trying to log in either thru Roku's Emby app or on my phone.  Here's what I'm seeing and my settings.  Let me know if I missed something.  Thank you for the help.

UPDATE:  I got it working.  Not sure what I did......

Thanks for the feedback. Looks like your public IP address got changed from xx.xx.25.131 to xx.xx.xx.26

You could use a domain and ddns service if the public Ip is changing. With emby connect, we do update the stored public P address periodically - so there would be times when it could be out of date

 I do have a ddns service address, but I wasn't sure where to put it in Emby. Can you tell me where it goes?

On the client apps, you can use "Add Server" on the Change Server / Select Server screen and enter the domain in the host field and the port

e.g.

Emby for Roku App

Also you can enter it in Server / Settings / Network / External domain and save
