streamac 5 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 I have subtitle mode set to "always play subtitles". When I start playing Live TV from a M3U source that has closed captions with the stream and I try to turn off the subtitles, Emby for iOS crashes immediately. If I set subtitle mode to "no subtitles" before starting the stream then it plays without subtitles without issue. This only happens with the iOS app, web player isn't affected.
Luke 42925 Posted November 30, 2025 Posted November 30, 2025 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
streamac 5 Posted December 2, 2025 Author Posted December 2, 2025 Here are the logs from the server and iPad. I redacted the server logs and included only what I think is relevant, let me know if you need fuller logs. embyserver-63900297612.txt Emby-2025-12-02-184005.ips

Could you send me the full log file by private message and I will include it when i refer this to the development team Is this only happening for Live TV?
sa2000 820 Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 @streamac I managed to reproduce the crash with user preference for subtitles to always show subtitles and then disabling the subtitle when streaming

For me it only happens with Live TV, movies and TV are fine. 1
