Live TV EPG and recording

I'm currently renumbering the channels I'd like to have have both a hd and fhd as a channel number for instance bbc1 hd and fhd as channel 1 would this work i will be recording streams so would it cause problems by having two channels as one number ?

no ii'm assigning channel numbers to my iptv epg 

there are both fhd and hd channels 

i'd like to have both bbc fhd and bbc1 hd channel as channel 1 could i change assign number 1 to both  they are exactly the same channel ie epg wise but obviously one is better quality 

would this affect the recording of the stream 

apologies if i'm confusing you its probably better to just renumber then as normal
