Where is this setting for a non-administrator user? I am using Windows server and android client on Nvidia Shield Pros. Is there a separate setting for this for non-admin users - users not allowed to manage the server? Does the "folder view" within mixed content libraries not respect this setting on the android client?

Hi.  Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares?

Thanks.

i have been using emby for android for several weeks now, but last night i moved back to emby for android tv. i could not quite put my finger on it, and i tried settings around refresh rate, but something was off on the regular android app. when i reinstalled the android tv version, the slight video lag went away. i also appreciated that the android tv version had audible navigation cues which seems like a small thing, but really do make the experience better. everything is also sized better in the android tv version from the size of objects, size of subtitles, etc. yes, i did try to change from medium to small etc, but the ratios are just better in the android tv version. i am curious if the android tv app is still getting updates in the future? i can live with the odd folder nav/views in the android tv app, but hope that the app has not been sunsetted. is emby for android tv still being updated?

Hi, what do you mean by slight video lag?

you know how if you are watching a PAL video, every 30 seconds or so there is a slight lag or slight judder because of mismatched frame rates? it is very similar to that. every 30 seconds or so, the video would slow ever so slightly for a second or two, barely noticeable, but it was there, and it started to really annoy me. no audio lag, dropping or noise, just a slight video lag. i checked everything on my network - i have a wired 2.5gb network, and i iperf3 checked from emby server to the nearest switch where my nvidia shield is on, and i couldn't find any issue with my network. everything on my LAN plays direct, no transcoding ever. not saying it was not my network, but i couldn't find any evidence, and switching to the android tv version made the video issue go away. my wife likes watching stuff on her samsung tablet all over the house and the regular android client is loaded on that. i did check the tablet and the issue was not there - but then that is a wireless client vs the shield which is wired. i will say that because of the fact the issue was repeated consistently on a pretty regular interval during streaming to the shield only, my initial thought was my network.

will the android tv version continue to receive updates?

Ok we will look into that. Thanks.

The other app will not get as many updates but it will get the most important ones.
