Missing Movies

After the last update to Version 4.9.1.80, my meta data seems to have gotten corrupted for some movies. I had to refresh many of them to get the right movies/images back.

Today, while going through the list, I noticed a few movies missing. Example would be: Lethal Weapon (I have all 4 movies), but only 2, 3, and 4 showed up. 1 was completely missing and didn't show up in search either (see screenshots).  Another example is Top Gun.  I have both Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick, but only the 2nd (Maverick) shows up. 

 The permissions are correct and the movies are there.

I've already tried vacuum database, re-scan library, re-scan meta data, removing the library and re-adding. Nothing seems to work. Before the corruption, all movies showed up. A new version is now available, but I'm leary of installing it at this point as I do not want to make the problem worse.

Hi, did you try clicking into the other lethal weapons to see if they might have gotten merged as multi-version?

Hello Luke, 

Thank you for responding. I'm not sure what you mean by multi-version... I clicked on Lethal Weapon 2, 3 and 4 movies, and each only has one movie in it. I started playing them and each one is the version it is supposed to be.

Can you share a screenshot of Top Gun Maverick detail view? 

And if you're willing, screenshots of all three Lethal Weapon movies?

I've attached them here. I think I see what you mean. There's a Split Versions button on Lethal Weapon 2, that isn't on Lethal Weapon 3 or 4. Also Top Gun Maverick has a Split Version button. Is this what is meany by multi-version?  I'll try to split one now and see if that does the trick or what I think it will do.

Why does this happen and is there a way to go through all movies (other than one at a time) to see if there are more?

Yes.

You'll have two versions of each, re-Identify incorrectly identified one (check the path in item detail view).

Because you're not following recommended naming convention:

Movie Naming

and have at least a (Year) in the folder name - that'll greatly assist with identifying,, else you're bound to face issues like the ones you're currently facing (at least to a greater degree, as even a (Year) in folder name is not a guarantee - only ProviderIDs/ID tags in folder names are).

There is a Filter for "Duplicates" in your library view - that'll show you all movies that have more than one version.

Thank you. I have quite a bit of work to do. 

Where is the Filter for Duplicates in the library view? I'm not seeing it in there.

Enter Movie library on your Home Screen, main/"Movies" tab.

Are you saying you have a lot of duplicates?
