Subtitle download places sub files in wrong dir

I previously always ran Emby For Kodi in Native playback mode, but at some point I switched to Add-On mode. I've noticed one issue, and it's likely a config issue on my end. When I download subtitles in Kodi, they do not get saved alongside the video, they get saved inside of the log folder. What setting to I need to change in order to get this working correctly? I've toggled a few options in the Emby For Kodi settings, and haven't resolved this yet. Do I just need to wipe my library and start over in Native mode?

  • Emby For Kodi v11.1.27
  • Kodi v21.1

Much appreciated. There is no such thing as an "urgent subtitles issue".

I assume you downloaded the subtitles with an Kodi plugin and not on the server?

Correct, I'm talking about downloading directly from Kodi. I'm not sure if it matters what extension I'm using, but it's A4Ksubtitles.

Downloaded subtitles cannot be added to file's locations as Kodi has no access to them in addon mode and the server has not subtitle upload function.
