How to disable picture-in-picture (PiP) when using the new Android app

One of the features of the new Android app is the ability to use Android's PiP process when clicking the Home button on the remote.  If you prefer not to use PiP with Emby then you can disable that ability in Android settings.

Steps:

1. Settings
2. Apps
3. Special app access
4. Select and click on 'Emby' to disable PiP (slider in picture below will shift to the left)
5. Exit settings

But that is not a good solution as the pip functionality is actually valuable in some apps and disabling it for Emby it should be not require disabling it for everything.

The functionality for Android showed up and Emby just had to use it. They saw the feature was available and asked the question "How do we use this" while ignoring the question they should have asked, "Should we use this?" 
For Emby it has zero value for me but it does have finite value in other apps. While it appears that I can control PiP from the Android settings it should also be able to be turned off inside of Emby. That is it is a optional feature and the option to use it should be controllable from inside the app involved.

The ability to disable it for Emby belongs in Android but it also belongs in the apps that might want to use it.

You deny access to PiP per app within the Android settings.  I don't see how having a setting inside the app also changes anything.

Though I guess having it inside the app also might make it easier for the users to find since that's where most people look for it.

How do I disable this on NVIDIA Shield? It is creating constant headaches, requiring me to restart the entire device.
