Ockingshay 3 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 I was playing a film and noticed it didn’t have any subtitles, so I checked the wiki and it tells me to click on the dots, edit subtitles and then use the search, but i don’t get a search, I just get the list of existing files if present or blank!  what am i doing wrong? I have open subtitles plugin installed and I’ve added my registered details in settings. Running latest beta of server via docker.
Solution Ockingshay 3 Posted October 26, 2025 Author Solution Posted October 26, 2025 Â I knew it would be a setting somewhere!
Luke 42077 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Hi, I would check your emby user permissions and ensure they are granted access to subtitle downloading. @sa2000

Thanks Luke for replying, a lot more settings compared to plex, still learning the system. Would it be worth adding a note to the wiki that there is another condition before subtitles can be downloaded? 1

Thanks for bringing this up. I have added a note and a screenshot to the article Manual Subtitle Downloads
