Zedderftw 1 Posted October 20, 2025 Posted October 20, 2025 When I try to manually identify I get "No items matching your search criteria were found." The app doesn't seem to be connected to tvdb at all. I can connect to thetvdb.com in my browser, and have tried turning off my firewall. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin, have restarted the server. embyserver.txt

The TV meta is not working at all. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and enabled afaik. I'm unable to even manually identify tv shows (but movies still work as they should)

Solution GrimReaper 4739 Posted October 20, 2025 Solution Posted October 20, 2025 3 minutes ago, Zedderftw said: Do you mean here? No. 4 hours ago, GrimReaper said: check that your TV Shows library meta-downloaders are still enabled (in case they got disabled upon server update); if they are, try unticking/ticking them back again Settings>Library tab in the sidebar>Edit (or left-click library thumb) your TV Shows library>untick and tick again TVDB, TMDB, OMDB (whatever meta-downloaders you have enabled). 1
Gaz7126 0 Posted October 21, 2025 Posted October 21, 2025 FYI. I noticed a similar problem yesterday evening. TV metadata was working fine but in my case Movies was not. Having read the above the same fix applies to the movies library metadata downloader settings. They'd all got reset so needed to be re-enabled. Will have to remember this if S/W upgrades can cause it - particularly if set to auto.

Thank you! This was driving me nuts while trying to get metadata for Doctor Who (2005)! Turns out, a recent Emby update disabled all the metadata fetchers. 1
yogi667 2 Posted December 31, 2025 Posted December 31, 2025 (edited) I have the same problem. Tried the suggested re-enabling process but still facing the same problem. Its quite annoying. The automatic identification stopped working for a few months now, I have been identifying the media manually for a while and now this problem has stopped me from identifying it manually as well. Any search I do on movies or TV Shows returns "No items matching your search criteria were found." even if I search with IMDB ID. Any help would be much appreciated. PS: I am on Emby Version 4.9.1.90 Edited December 31, 2025 by yogi667

Luke 42077 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 @yogi667typical causes of this are firewall, security software or VPN. Can you look into those and let us know what you find? Thanks !
yogi667 2 Posted January 4 Posted January 4 (edited) Thanks Lessaj. Everything was working fine in the Emby Server device itself but just the DNS wasnt working as you mentioned for unknown reason. I restarted the device and it started working now. Thanks again Edited January 4 by yogi667 2
