fricelander 10 Posted October 19, 2025 Posted October 19, 2025 (edited) Hi, I have an issue with one TV show, the data fetched from IMDB don't make any sense. This is the show : https://www.imdb.com/fr/title/tt20723358/ I have 2 library for my Series, one for French and another one for English metadata, the targeted folder is the same, only the setup on the library changes, it has always been like that and never an issue, You can see on the attached video : English library : when I'm searching via the IMDB ID the show's found but when I'm selecting it the data pulled from IMDB are from another show, pictures are from another show, but description is from the correct show, in the picture I can still see pictures from both shows French library : all pulled data are from the other show that is not related at all to the show I'm looking for even though it find the correct show on the search via IMDB ID anyone has any ideas how to fix this issue ? This show : Le flambeau / The torch is the continuation of another show : The flamme : https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13286778/ and I think they're a bit mixed up because on the picture available for the flamme I can see some are from Le flambeau. La flamme and Le flambeau are 2 different shows, you can see that on the second attached video Screen Recording 2025-10-19 at 23.38.35.mov Screen Recording 2025-10-19 at 23.48.03.mov Edited October 19, 2025 by fricelander making it more clear

Nothing is ever fetched from IMDB (cost-prohibitive), IMDBId is only used for matching with online providers databases (if present). You likely have TVDB as your top-preferred meta-downloader, where 1 hour ago, fricelander said: the show : https://www.imdb.com/fr/title/tt20723358/ is listed as Season 2 of 1 hour ago, fricelander said: The flamme : https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13286778 with associated IMDBId tt13286778. Whereas TMDB lists it as a separate show. https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/202772-le-flambeau-les-aventuriers-de-chupacabra So you can either: 1) Rename all episodes as S02EXX and put it in Season 2 folder of LA Flamme (2020) or 2) Move TMDB on top of your library meta-providers, Re-Identify/Refresh Metadata, lock the item afterwards to prevent future changes, revert TVDB on top.

If you use the same folder in more than one library then you should ensure the libraries have the same options, otherwise it will seem random as to which ones get used.

It worked, thank for those explanations, it's fixed now and I will be able to better manage my metadata fetching issues in the future 8 hours ago, Luke said: Hi, this isn't supported. You just have to trick Emby to make it believe it's not the same folder by mounting the NAS in another network letter : 1
