Downloading large number of files with unplayed only enabled causes loop

Hi,

I have just had a weird issue, that I have self resovlved, but wanted to report it as the underlying bug seems weird.

So I am going away later and wanted to grab some shows that I have not had chance to watch, so click download on the TV show and then click the download unplayed only option, I went away for a while and when I came back I realised that although one or two of the shows and movies were downloaded, they were back in the queue again. 

I narrowed it down to be that if I had a large enough TV show (Rick and morty), where only a proportion is left to watch (season 8  ) then it seemed to cause some endless loop and anything else in the queue would just keep reporting as Transferring -> downloaded -> ready to transfer -> Transferring etc etc.

And when monitoring the network, it was actually redownloading them - I could forgive it if it checked, saw the file and just moved on.

 

But it seems there is something in the underlying setup that is causing a loop on this.

I know before beta I reported a similiar issue, but that was just on larger TV shows and never completing, where as this is completing but then causing them to be queued again.

I have attached my server logs, which shows lots of back and forth, but hopefully enables you to see the issue.

 

I resolved this by only queuing one show / movie at a time and only selecting the seasons I wanted all of - which is far from ideal, but it seems the other way would never have finished.

Hi @pbathukhave you updated to Emby Server 4.9.1.90? Has that helped with this issue?

Hey, so I have upgraded my server to 4.9.1.90 and using the latest windows 11 release of emby desktop I have started downloading some torture test of things that used to cause issues:
large show, but only 10 are unwatched (90 episodes in the total show though)
then while that was running: download 3 movies, 2 are in a collection
then download another show, with 10 unwatched + click the "autodowload" option, as well as new only.

I have just watched it complete them all, including converting some, perfectly.

It does seem that it waits until the last show (which is correct) is completed i.e. the first one was already downloading, rather than keep adding new things.. it waited, then once that was done the queue filled back up. 

So yes, I don't know what you changed (as glanced at the changelog and didn't see anything), but it is most certainly - at least on my device - fixed
