I have never had problems with edge before & emby , but a file I was playing yesterday will not play today - I just get the circle moving round . I have windows 10 installled , the file is 480p H264
English AC3 stereo (Default) - It plays okay on app on Samsung tv , I have all extensions switched off , this pc hosts the server with the files on external hdds

I have noticed the files that are playing are hevc and the ones that have not played are h264 , but only a small selection I have tried

480p H264
English AC3 stereo (Default)

Right but the browser video player is having a problem when trying to direct play this file. Playback correction allows you to switch to transcoding so that you can at least play. Normally that would happen automatically, but sometimes there could be a situation where the video player gets stuck and doesn't actually raise an error.
