After update I'm unable to add new libraries, or remove the one that is stuck in the scanning phase

Hi, i noticed a notification to restart emby to finish the update, so i did, and I was playing around with my libraries and when i uninstalled one to reinstall it again, but it would get stuck at the initial scan at 5.8%, even in stopping the scan and then trying to remove the library because it got stuck, it would get stuck on the removal scan, and trying to reboot my computer and try again, it still gets stuck.

is reverting to the previous version possible?

 

I'm putting a server log in case it's useful

just wanted to clarify something i didn't notice until it posted. I can remove the library that was stuck in the initial scanning phase. i have to cancel the scan and then i can remove it. I just meant that it gets stuck on that scan that happens when you remove a library too, just like it does when you add one.

Hi, what exactly makes you think that it’s stick? Is it just because the progress percent hasn’t moved recently?

it was sitting at 5.8% with no change in over a half hour, in my experience of deleting and adding libraries it's usually really quick for movies. if it were moving slow, i would've just left it, but it didn't appear to be moving.

just wanted to add in the midst of adding and removing a library that woudln't complete the scan, i accidentally left one on this whole time and it didn't move either, and it's been a while, if i had to guess over an hour

Hi, for faster performing scans, try disabling the feature to detect episode intros.

it's a movie folder so there are no detection of intros. I just saw under the scheduled tasks where it says scan that the last scan was stuck at 5.8% for an hour and half.

it's also not like a slow move to get to that 5.8% it jumps to that in an instant, and just stays there, even when i try to scan all libraries, so this is not just for a single library or adding one.

The log has episode scanning activity all throughout. I would go into your TV libraries and disable the episode intro detection feature and then see how things compare.

Hi, thanks for mentioning that. i did as you instructed and disabled that function in every single tv ilbrary, and then restarted emby, and tried to give it a scan and am waiting for the results.
