sfatula 207 Posted September 12, 2025 Posted September 12, 2025 I can write the script, but, I need to find a way to get the TVDB series id at post recording script time. I can't find an API to do so though there may be one. Can someone think of a way to do this?
Solution Luke 42077 Posted September 12, 2025 Solution Posted September 12, 2025 I was just wondering if there was any way to fix this. The recording will have a series id. You'd to use that to pull down the series object and then examine the ProviderIds.
sfatula 207 Posted September 12, 2025 Author Posted September 12, 2025 So... I have access to the series id? Where!? Is it an environment variable perhaps? Or are you saying the recording has already been added to the database and I can find it via path there?
sfatula 207 Posted September 12, 2025 Author Posted September 12, 2025 Looks like I can get them via (for example): https://emby-tv.mydomain.tld/emby/Items?Recursive=true&Fields=Path%2CProviderIds&Path=%2Frecordings%2FEmby-TV-Recordings%2FAmerican Ninja Warrior (2009)&api_key=myapikey This gives me the providers ids for the series in one call. But, that presumes (say this is the first time recording a given series as it's new), that the metadata lookups are already done at post processing script time. We'll see! 1
