Won't play this UHD vacation movie smooth, while others play fine

Just like last year, I made a vacation movie in DaVinci Resolve. It has the same codec, format, and bitrate as last year. However, Emby for Android TV can't play this file smoothly (it plays around 1 fps), while last year's version plays perfectly.

I've checked all the specs and tested other formats too, like MP4 in stead of MKV.
HD isn't a problem. Neither is playing the UHD version in a webbrowser.

I have attached 2 screenshots of the server playing two comparable files. One plays fine, the other (the short sample) stutters at about 1 FPS. I also added the server log, but I have tested a lot  of different files, so it's difficult to see what is what.

How can I determine what the problem is?

Thanks,
Robert

I just found out that I can play the file fine if I convert it to basically the same format in Handbrake. I think I have done the same last year. So the file that did work was also 'handbraked', I think.

It seems that Handbrake produces a 'more compatible' file somehow. While this is a good enough solution for me, I still wonder what could cause this.
Any ideas?

@luke, yes. Can you explain why that causes the issue? Very eager to learn 😉

Not a surprise... The original video may have issues created by a limit to what mobile video recording is possible with your phone. The shortcuts the mobile video recording makes to allow full frames per second capture, may prove too much for other players software and hardware to play back smoothly. Examples of issues that the original media might have: https://www.fastpix.io/blog/video-playback-issues-how-to-identify-test-and-fix-streaming-problems

Handbreak typically sees and fixes such issues, giving you a media copy that can better playback on all players.

Hi, it looks like the player having trouble with this file. It's hard to say why, although an app log might tell us more:

But if it's just this one file then I would say you may just want to stick with the re-encoded version and call it a day.

@LukeYes, we have to pick our battles.
Thanks.
