How to find indexed media that went "somewhere else"?

I have a list of a few movies, and several tv "seasons" that went AWOL when I switched to Emby.

Due to others' help, we found that several of the items are being mis-identified and added to other TV series/other movies of similar names.  I've fixed those that I could find.

However, I still have a few TV shows and movies that are not showing up in Emby.  However, Emby's logs DO show success in properly identifying and adding the item.

What I am missing is: How do I find out what a file is indexed as in Emby?

I went into the Metadata editor, and drilled down to the folder and files in question.  However, there's no metadata information at this level to show me what it was indexed as (so I can go fix it).

Is there another place I can "search" for a filename, and "see" what Emby indexed it as?  Because the built-in search is useless for this, and the metadata editor doesn't show what individual files nor folders are indexed as.

Hi, one way would be to use table view and enable the file path fields, and then just sort on that. that should help you quickly locate it.

If you have the nfo metadata saver enabled, you can view the .nfo files created alongside your media to see what emby identified them as.

Fantastic!  It took me to a minute to find the table under Metadata/Views/Video.  But yes, I was able to sort and drill down by directory to find them.  Thank you!

Good idea!  Unfortunately, I do not have it enabled as I do not allow Emby write access to my media.

I would just change the naming of the shows that aren't being recognised properly to ensure that they are recognised - but of course, as these are your torrent directories (as per your other thread), you can't - another reason why using them directly in Emby isn't a good idea.

Actually, that's exactly what I do - being torrents and their odd naming conventions (change the directory name).  ;)
