doxxmulder 2 Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 There's nothing notable about this album, it's not a double album, no features, no weird metadata as far as I can tell, but Emby splits it into two. I've tried (repeatedly): - Remove identification (on 1 and 2, every combination of either or both) - Identify album - Rescan library files - Rescan album files - Refresh metadata I've set all the metadata in Picard, but despite all that, Emby won't recognize it as one album.
Solution mickle026 650 Posted June 30, 2025 Solution Posted June 30, 2025 (edited) Have you change the title of the album? - like removed "Aemina - CD1" and "Aemina - CD2" to just "Aemina" I have this problem with only title changes, emby doesn't seem to refresh the original title in the DB just the displayed title, but refreshes everything else. I remove from the library, scan it, then re-add it and it detects as one album. Because its refreshing everything else it took me a while to pin point why, as it initially seemed random. Maybe same? doxxmulder 2 Posted June 30, 2025 Author Posted June 30, 2025 Removing the album, scanning the library, then re-adding the album worked. I have no idea why this fixed it, since I don't know why Emby thought to split the album in the first place. I hope the Emby team could look into this in the future, since the only thing I can possibly think of is the nonstandard character in the album name? 1
Happy2Play 9780 Posted June 30, 2025 Posted June 30, 2025 One of those quirks that works for some and not others but will guess there can always be a platform variable as they all do things differently. Can only guess on initial import fields in the database were populated and removing media deleted all said info that was not previously cleared. As it becomes a completely new item when removed and readded.
