will_i_am_small 0 Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 I have encountered a weird bug after setting up my Synology NAS recently. When I try to navigate through to the dashboard or settings it will rapidly flash between the server settings and dashboard page making use of the settings impossible. Clicking on anything isn't possible and reloading the page or restarting the server had no effect. Is this a usual bug that I have done something to provoke and is there a usual solve.
Luke 42077 Posted June 29, 2025 Posted June 29, 2025 Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Also is there any chance you can capture a video? Thanks. Thanks! 1
will_i_am_small 0 Posted June 30, 2025 Author Posted June 30, 2025 TlEKvZfZ.mp4 I am having a hard time accessing the logs due to this. I did restart the NAS and server which solved the issue temporarily.

Luke 42077 Posted July 1, 2025 Posted July 1, 2025 OK yes that's odd. Can you try clearing browsing data and seeing if that helps? And also a different browser?

Ok, ive had several different attempts at figuring out when it shows up and when it doesnt Ive primarily used Firefox and the bug only shows up when using it, I've also used Edge and it has never shown up on there. It seems to show up mostly after I have just uploaded some more files into the server.
sa2000 674 Posted July 11, 2025 Posted July 11, 2025 (edited) I have seen this arise on very slow old NAS devices. Maybe the NAS was very busy I just tried firefox for emby web connections to 2 different NAS devices and settings loaded ok Try again after updating the emby server to latest public version available - see https://emby.media/download.html Edited July 11, 2025 by sa2000

And was only set up with a fresh install recently. So far no problems with Edge so just using that solely for NAS/Emby work atm
