Emby unable to identify certain IMDB series.

Hi folks, 

When I try to ID certain shows from IMDB it is unable to find them but they do exists for instance to reproduce the issue, you can try with this ID: tt21952942

 

The series exists on IMDB, here is the url: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt21952942

When I try it I get no result: 

 

And the show is identified as the wrong one:

 

 

It would be nice if you could look into this, thanks again.

in my very quick search, it doesn't appear that this series is listed on either TVDB or TMDB, hence why there are no results. IMDB is not a source of metadata in Emby.

It may be that you need to submit an entry for this series on those providers.

Yes, ok my bad I thought IMDB was also a source of metadata but I guess it just tries to find a relationship between the IMDB code and TVDB or TMDB?

Correct.  TMDB and TVDB include the IMDB id as a field in their databases, so they can search for it.  IMDB demands a payment for api access that is way out of reach for Emby.
