Bygons 3 Posted June 25, 2025 Posted June 25, 2025 The server is running. I started it with systemctl and enabled it. I am getting logs (see attached). The log looks like it shows Emby using 8096 but I can't connect. Any ideas? embyserver-63886379896.txt

Luke 42077 Posted June 26, 2025 Posted June 26, 2025 @Bygonsare you still having an issue with this? As a test, can you try rebooting the machine? Thanks !
Bygons 3 Posted June 26, 2025 Author Posted June 26, 2025 I resolved it with the comment above. It turned out to be user error. I created a user on the linux box when I loaded Debian named "emby". When I installed emby later it threw an error so I deleted the user named "emby" but not the user directory. I then reinstalled emby and it was successfully installed but I did not realize the initial user named "emby" borked the permissions for the later user emby installed that was also named "emby" I had to delete the home directory for "emby" and then reinstall emby. Now everything works. I am still having an issue with installing the HRHomeRun, but that is for another post. 1 1
