Is there a help file or something that explains settings?  When I launch Kodi I get the welcome message from the service.  It syncs but seems to go through everything each time even when there are little or no additional media changes that should be identified.  It takes several minutes to complete.  Is that expected behavior?  If not I am not sure the cause.  Perhaps it is how my settings are configured?  Any help is appreciated!

This sounds more like a sync crash, the Kodi start sync should be ver very fast if nothing has changed. Can you please sen me a kodi.log for review.

Thanks for the update.  I noticed that my backgrounds while browsing are black instead of fanart.  I checked the settings for my skin (Aeon NOX Silvo) and they are correct.  It happens in all views.  It was fine before.  Any ideas?

Did you do the repair sink and artwork cache reset?

Yes I did.  Repaired Sync, Reset Cache and Let it cache all libraries.

The movies category is now loading them.  However I have a 4K library and it is not.  It was working fine before update.  Maybe it is a skin issue?  What skins are popular to use with Emby for Kodi Next-Gen?

Quickmic does all his testing with Estuary.  I would try that one first and see if the problem is still there. 

I have Artic Fuse 3 and will try that one here soon.

My DB must be messed up.  It was fine until I upgraded repaired sync and reset cache.

Did you try the plugin's custom (video) nodes directly from the plugin menu? This would be a valid test for detecting sync issues.

Additionally switch to default skin and see if everything is fine there.

If both is ok, it must be a issue with the skin setup.

I'm also having issues with background fanart. I initially thought something broke on my end, so I did a completely fresh install by downgrading Kodi from 22 beta 2 to 21.3 and reinstalling the latest version of the add-on, but the problem persists.

I'm using the Arctic Zephyr Martian skin, and my background fanart is completely black. The only exception is if I use a view mode that specifically features the fanart front and center, then they load fine for some reason. Otherwise, backgrounds stay black. If I switch to Estuary, open a specific movie, and let its fanart load there, that fanart will suddenly start working as a background back in Arctic. However, it only works for the specific movies I’ve manually loaded this way, while everything else remains black.

Even in Estuary, things aren't fully working. On the main home screen, items under "In Progress", "Newly added" etc won't show fanart initially. I have to go into the Movies library, navigate to that specific movie so its fanart triggers, and then go back to the main page. Only then does it display properly.

It started in the recent days and I would assume it was with an update. Never had this issue before and I'm not sure where the issue is
