Quick question, if I'm only using dynamic node to access the library (thus no syncing), does the watch status sync to the server? I've noticed that it doesn't work on my other TV. Both units are on the latest v12. It does seem to remember on each unit separately.

Yes it should sync the watched status, Do you use the same Emby account on both devices?

Yeah they are logged in to the same account. I just noticed when I look at the activities on the server, the playback never show up there, only the authentication from each device. If I play from the Emby app, the playback activities show up.

I check in addon mode, and found no issues. Probably I need a kodi.log for review including the playback issue.

I'm using the native mode. I'll have to try grabbing the kodi log from my ShieldTv later. Just enable the log in kodi?

Yes, turn on debug logging in system settings and then recreate the issue before sending it directly to quickmic in case there's private information in it.  Then turn off debug logging.

I think I can trigger the issue. Seems to happen in native mode only and using dynamic nodes.

is anyone able to display subrip subtitles when transcoding? i've been having issues for the past few years.

playing a file when transcoding, without subs selected: working

playing a file when transcoding, with subpgs subs selected: working

playing a file when transcoding, with subrip subs selected: NOT working

playing a file when NOT transcoding, with subrip subs selected: working

 

i don't have issues transcoding subrips on any other clients (firestick, web browser, etc).

unable to use setting dialogue screens ie. factory reset, manage server windows/prompts/screens do not open.

 

fresh and latest kodi then plugin install.

 

after fighting with this kodi, i then checked other (working and old) installs and noticed the same thing ie. no longer able to open secondary screens. they are all windows 10 x64, i cant find anyone reporting this?

 

before i trashed and installed fresh, i did

* wipe all emby plugin folders and *.db files in %appdata%

* downgrade to v10

* service plugin only (no video, music, pictures etc)

* disable all non stock plugins

 

eitherway, here is the attached logs from the fresh install on windows 10 x64, with clean install of kodi, then install of plugin ie. same results, wizard never shows, unable to use secondary screens in settings to do anything

That sounds like a Windows permission issue, not a plugin bug.
