Micael456 45 Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 For the past couple of weeks (pretty sure it correlates to me installing the latest emby client update) my TV will no longer DirectPlay 4k videos. At first I thought it was just my newer rips, but attempted to play an episode I've watched many times before, and it's failing. Digging into the logs, it seems to be attempting to transcode due to the following error: Reason=Unnamed.Width Condition: LessThanEqual. ConditionValue: 1920. Suffice to say, this is a 4K TV so does (and has previously) support playback of the video. It's an older LG, OLED55C7V, but has never had any issues like this before. I've attached a snippet from the logs if that helps. Thanks. 2025-05-28 212238.526 Emby Log.txt
Luke 42077 Posted May 28, 2025 Posted May 28, 2025 Hi there, can you please attach the complete emby server log file? Thanks.
Micael456 45 Posted May 29, 2025 Author Posted May 29, 2025 It's a bit noisy, as I was adding some new rips/ the camera upload was running, but here you go. embyserver-63884073600.txt
Solution Luke 42077 Posted May 31, 2025 Solution Posted May 31, 2025 Hi, what is the quality setting in the app configured to?
Micael456 45 Posted May 31, 2025 Author Posted May 31, 2025 Thanks @Luke, feel like a bit of an idiot now. That was the problem- it seems to have reset at some point to 1080 - 60 Mbps for home streaming. Bumped it back up to 4k - 200mbps and it instantly started working. Appreciate the help! 1
