Any action on this?

@justinrhsorry for delay in picking this up. I can see that the 48.7 channel is missing from the lineup for your zip code. This will be referred to Gracenote

@justinrhWe have had a response from Gracenote, out EPG guide provider concerning the availability of this new channel. Unfortunately it is seen as a new minor channel and is out of scope for the adding to their database. From what I can tell is that they would be ok adding channels missing from lineups, if the channel is already in their master database

But .... unlike Plex, Emby is very versatile when it comes to guide sources and you can mix and match guides and if you find a source of guide data for a missing channel, you can add that and assign the channel to it.

Appreciate the update!  This is unfortunate.  It might be a 'minor' channel, but it is common to a lot of markets, and there might be many 'minor' channels in any market:

Indeed, most channels are subchannels in a market, which seems to earn the 'minor' label.  I might have 5 or 6 major, the other 30 are minor!  Yet most have guide data, so this doesn't jive in my brain.

I wouldn't know where to get any other guide data, so ...

I did respond to Gracenote in this fashion but it seems that they are not adding new channels to their master database - but if it is in their database but missing from some markets / lineups, then they would add it to the lineups

You would need someone in the USA to chime in on that. Does NextPVR cover the region ? They do get guide data from the channel broadcast stream by default.

They have subsequently to the initial response, agreed to add the channel

I have checked and it is available in the OTA Lineup for US Zip code 35810

WAFFDT7
48.7    365BLK

If it is not showing already in your guide data and you can establish when the last guide refresh was, wait 24 hours from that time and it should then show up. There is a 24 hour http cace in Emby Server on requests.

You are the man @sa2000!  I did a guide refresh and now I have programs showing!  Thanks!

Now if you can persuade them to add 29.3 and 29.4  😉

That will be difficult - because I can see wikipedia saying they are not full-power stations

Quote

WTHV-LD (channel 29) is a low-power television station in Huntsville, Alabama, United States,

If they are full power and we have evidence to back us that they are, then I could try and ask Gracenote and see if they would add.

What they have stated, is that for channels that are not in their database, it would be up to the station to request the channels to be added in Gracenote lineups.

You could try and get in touch with the company that owns WTHV-LD and ask them if they could look into getting their channels added to the Gracenote database.
