anym001 0 Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Hey, I would like to change the naming scheme of my media folders, but I'm not sure if this will affect my current libraries or the library scan. Has anyone ever tried this? Can problems occur here? Example: Old -> Name (Year) imdbid New -> Name (Year) [tmdbid=xxxx]
Abobader 3464 Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Hello anym001, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team
Happy2Play 9780 Posted May 13, 2025 Posted May 13, 2025 Any change in naming will remove the item from the DB and Readd it, but yes the new scheme you showed is a supported naming scheme and Emby will use the id for its metadata queries. #id-tags-in-folder--file-names | Emby Documentation 2

anym001 0 Posted May 13, 2025 Author Posted May 13, 2025 I have another question about the metadata providers. Is it still up to date that tmdb is recommended as a provider for both movies and tv shows? (https://www.themoviedb.org/) Corresponding articles: https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html https://emby.media/support/articles/TV-Naming.html
