MPV configuration for Emby application on Windows 10/11

Hello, I am new to Emby and have just joined the premier service primarily so i could use an external player like MPV to watch content from my Emby server. All the guides I'm seeing reference Emby Theater, which appears to be an older version of the the current desktop app from the windows store. As such, i have been having some trouble configuring MPV with the current iteration of the app. Under App Settings> Emby Windows> Video player, I see no option to select an external player. The same is true for User> Playback. I feel like I am missing something obvious here, sorry for my inexperience. Any support is greatly appreciated.

just to clarify, it wasn't removed. The windows store version never had it in the first place. It will get added, but until that happens you can still use the downloaded desktop app:
