Trekdriver3 13 Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 I'm having the same problem. Emby seems to be down.
Luke 42528 Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 @Trekdriver3are you connecting to your own Emby Server, or someone else's server?
Gilgamesh_48 1251 Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 The question to ask in situations like this is not "what's wrong?" But, rather, "what changed," Because the fact that it did work means that the pieces as they were worked and those same pieces, as they currently are, do not work. Therefore something changed in between "working" and "not working." That change is your answer. It is possible for everything to be working and still the parts will not communicate. @Luke's question is a very good one as it could easily be something on the server side that changed.

Luke 42528 Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Emby is not down, however, your Galaxy can't reach your Emby Server, and these questions will help us learn why.

Luke 42528 Posted April 9, 2025 Posted April 9, 2025 Quote I have no idea if the server is running as I can't connect. If it is your server you really should know this. Is the server application running on the server machine? What did you install Emby Server on? Can you use the Emby web interface that you used to setup the server?

Solution Luke 42528 Posted April 9, 2025 Solution Posted April 9, 2025 OK so the server probably isn't running .did you try starting up the server application from the windows start menu?

pwhodges 2065 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 Are you also K_parky59? Your last post was over a year ago - and you stopped responding to Luke's suggestions, so it's hard to know how interested you really are. But assuming you are in the same state as a year ago and want to resolve it, let's get some more information, starting with the basics. You said you are using your own Emby, so you must have installed your Emby server somewhere - what kind of machine is it on? If a Windows one, is it showing in Task Manager (right-click on task bar and select from menu)? Paul
Trekdriver3 13 Posted May 13 Author Posted May 13 My issues have all been resolved. So far so good. And no, I have always been Trekdriver On 12/27/2025 at 6:58 PM, Lessaj said: I don't use Emby Connect so I don't know how valid this will be, but after you sign in to Emby Connect try to delete the server that you see there, there should be a 3 dot menu in the bottom right or tap+hold for context menu, then add server with the address previously provided Host 192.168.68.133 Port 8096. Can maybe also try to remove your email from your User profile and add it back and see if that makes it update, but I would try deleting the one that appears and readding with the correct details first. 1
visproduction 361 Posted May 13 Posted May 13 If Emby is turned off or crashes for any reason, then you would get the screen unable to connect for local. This would stay like this, until Emby gets started again. If the server is not rebooted, then Emby could stay off for days. I would guess that either restarting the server and letting Emby start automatically again or finding the command file to start Emby would resolve the problem. This maybe is what happened. A simple restart is an easy fix, but finding the start up command is quicker.
