neohasse 7 Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 (edited) Sorry for bringing this up again, but exactly the same happens to me when I use the app on my phone casting to tv. All have been good but yesterday I realized emby now keeps playing the whole season of a show all night even if I just play one episode. What has changed? Edit: I have the correct settings, has been working fine before, never changed anything, but now I can see the playlist get populated with the whole show, not just a season, even when I play just a single episode. neohasse 7 Posted April 2, 2025 Author Posted April 2, 2025 Sure, just before I went to bed I went into a TV show, selected just one episode and started it. Now 6 hours later the show keeps going. It should be in the end of the logs. I noticed something now, I installed the CoverArt plugin yesterday just to see what it was. Would be very strange if thats the cause. neohasse 7 Posted April 3, 2025 Author Posted April 3, 2025 Update: I have been troubleshooting a bit, this only happens if i cast from the app on my android phone to a Chromecast. It doesn't happen if i just look on my phone, cast to Emby web or just watch on Emby web.

Solution Luke 42077 Posted April 6, 2025 Solution Posted April 6, 2025 I updated our Chromecast receiver. It receives the instruction to play the episode and it handles figuring out the play queue, so that's why no app update was needed. 1
