Emby for Fire TV - Issues with playback due to Premiere

Hi,

I have an Emby Premiere key on my server I am sure it's for 50 devices but I've got a few family members and with combinations of iOS devices, Smart TV, Firesticks I have about 10 devices more than my limit so on these devices we unlocked the app (Emby for Fire TV) some time ago and have had no issues.

All of a sudden these devices where Emby Unlock has previously been paid for we are getting errors with Emby Premiere Licence exceeded and cannot play anything and when we go to the Unlock App option which never used to be there, it disappeared once paid for, it's back now and only option is restore unlock but it says not purchased but it has been paid for.

I tried moving to Emby for Android and same error, no unlock option on this app from what I can see, how do I fix this if I am over my device limit. I was under the impression any devices over my limit can be excluded from Emby Premiere by paying to unlock the app, well I did and it's been fine for at least a few years and now I'm running into issues.

What are my options, is it a case of upgrading to the higher 80 device limit?

Are you sure the device is logged into the same Amazon account that made the purchase?

Hi,

Yes it is, and it can't just be something as simple as that as I've had 3 of my Fire TV devices have this issue and 2 are signed in with my account and one is signed in with my parents. 

It's almost as if randomly overnight the emby for Fire TV app has updated and is no longer unlocked and the unlock option isn't there anymore and when trying restore unlock it says not purchased when I know it is.

Both of those accounts purchased the unlock?

Do you have a record of the purchase in your Amazon account?

Can you make other in-app purchases on the devices?  IOW - are you sure they have access to the Amazon store?

Hi

For some random reason it seems to have resolved itself overnight so no idea if there was an issue with the Amazon Store / Emby but I came to use my apps today and they were both working and the unlock option was missing off the user menu so it obviously had restored the unlock.

I have another device I wan't to add to my server but I'm over my Premiere Licence limit, why is it on the Emby for Fire TV app now there is only an option to restore unlock and no option to pay anymore for a device to not count to my Premiere limit?

I can't use the Emby for Android app either as it appears now on the Fire TV apps there is a notification saying come and use our new Emby for Android but when I did this the other week and it swapped apps I couldn't play due to my licence limit and you don't have an unlock app option on the normal Android one either...
