Which Firestick Models Support Emby with HEVC 10? Need Advice!

Hi everyone, Richard here!

I'm looking to buy a Firestick for a family member and need some advice. My entire media collection is 1080p or lower, with AVI, MP4, and MKV files. I've noticed that many of my files include '10' in the name, but I’m not very tech-savvy and don’t fully understand what it means. I've read some posts where people had trouble direct-playing these '10' files on a Firestick, so I’d appreciate any recommendations on the cheapest Firestick model that can handle them properly with Emby and HEVC 10.

Hi, I think it depends on what fire tv model supports hevc 10? Have you looked at that at all?

fire tv model does this mean a fire tv stick ?

As i said i was planning to buy one but since all my files are 1080p i thought i would be able to buy a cheaper one as the cheapest on ebay seems to be the firestick lite but then i came to emby forum and was reading this post below but i can't really understand what most of them are talking about but it did not seem good and i recognised that a lot of my files are hevc 10 so here i am

That would appear to be OG Fire TV Stick 4K - 1st Gen (2018).

You can check all model specs on the same page, look for "Main 10 profile" under "Video codecs" section, "H.265 (HEVC)" part.

Would this one do hevc 10 as i can't find it saying hevc 10 or what year it is
