Remote (WAN) access

Hello

I reset my computer and reinstalled the Emby server using a backup I had prepared. Everything was working fine while I was at home—the mobile app, Amazon Firestick, and LG app were all functioning properly. However, when I'm away from home, nothing works. Emby Connect seems to be functioning correctly as it accepts the PIN from the app, but then it returns an error. I can't play any content when I'm away from home.

I also upgraded my internet to a much faster connection, but I'm still using the same provider (Vodafone Broadband UK) and the same router. I'm unsure if anything has changed in the router settings.

I need help, please. thank you.

Perhaps the change in service has moved you to one with cgNAT.  If you do a tracert to an outside address, does the second line address start with 100?

I restored my Emby server from a backup to a fresh Windows 11 and everything is working fine except the remote access. I have tried an Emby pin connection and also a manual connection but none worked. I need some guidance for troubleshooting, please 🙏🏼

Run through the remote setup guide again, paying special attention to the checks in the last couple of sections:

Thank you.

I have run through the remote setup, restarted the Emby server, called Vodaphone UK and upgraded the router firmware remotely. The Emby server is working remotely now,

One thing that I noticed, though, is that In-Home (LAN) access and Remote (WAN) access for the Emby server are different from yesterday, and I had to reconnect all my devices again before they worked. Is this normal? Thanks again.

If you mean their IP addresses have cħanged - yes, this is not surprising.

Yes, IP addresses. Okay then, I will close the topic. Thank you very much.
