TheKrizzz 4 Posted February 4, 2025 Posted February 4, 2025 I am running Emby on Ubuntu 24.04 and have 2 accounts in the platform. "Emby" is a standard user account "Admin" has full control I would like to use the Emby account 99% of the time when browsing the interface from my TV, because it won't allow my family to accidentally delete my movies and shows. But that account cannot delete DVR recordings either, which is a normal and necessary behavior. This account doesn't even show the "Delete" button from within the UI. I'm sure I could get creative and figure out a way to do this with directory permissions if using the Admin account all the time but I would rather not. Thanks.
Solution GrimReaper 4740 Posted February 4, 2025 Solution Posted February 4, 2025 (edited) Enable "Allow media deletion from" desired libraries under "Emby" user settings (Settings>Users tab in the sidebar>edit desired user). Edited February 4, 2025 by GrimReaper
TheKrizzz 4 Posted February 4, 2025 Author Posted February 4, 2025 Nevermind. Found the setting I was asking about. Apologies for the wasted post.
