Revenent 15 Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Was playing around with playlists, and realized that on the Samsung app, the playlist view doesn't have secondary actions like on the web or Android app. Talking about the ... button that gives more actions like Go to item. Is this by design, or am I just having a dumb user moment? This is on both 1.9.0 (QN90D) and 1.9.6 (Q70R). Thanks!
SamES 1056 Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 What happens if you hold down the remote select/ok key on an item?
Revenent 15 Posted January 19, 2025 Author Posted January 19, 2025 Both the TVs have the "simplified" remote, so I'm going to assume you mean the middle circle button inside the circular direction pad. Tried that - long pressing is the same as clicking/short pressing. As far as I can tell, long pressing has no effect on any interaction elements in the app.
Luke 42077 Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Yea hopefully we can get that long press context menu supported and then you'll get a menu of options there.
Solution SamES 1056 Posted January 20, 2025 Solution Posted January 20, 2025 Other option is the ‘Info’ menu/button
Revenent 15 Posted January 20, 2025 Author Posted January 20, 2025 Just tried the info button - that works, but it is 11 clicks to get there (press the settings/number button, left, up, right x 7, select). If long press can bring up the context menu, that would be awesome. I'll mark SamES's post as the solution for now, since it does bring up the context menu.
Luke 42077 Posted January 20, 2025 Posted January 20, 2025 Quote but it is 11 clicks to get there (press the settings/number button, left, up, right x 7, select). How does this relate to pressing the info button? It would be the same with long press.
Revenent 15 Posted January 20, 2025 Author Posted January 20, 2025 (edited) The remote doesn't have a dedicated info button. To get to it on the virtual remote is the button sequence I listed above. A long press of the select button would be a lot simpler if it was supported by the app. Edited January 20, 2025 by Revenent 1
Revenent 15 Posted January 20, 2025 Author Posted January 20, 2025 For context, this is the physical remote: https://a.co/d/cQPIOI0 (Couldn't find a link on the Samsung site.) 1
