Emby remote access fails when server is (LAN)cabled

Hello,

I have my Emby-server on a Lenovo Legion 5 laptop. When setting up Emby I used my wireless LAN. For testing purposes i connected my Emby-server-laptop to the internet using a CAT 6 LAN Cable. When i was outdoors i couldn't connect remotely to the Emby-server anymore. When switching back the laptop to wireless LAN, remote access was working again. Though i'm perfectly happy with using my laptop wirelessly, i'm just curious why Emby remote doesn't work cabled. Probably i'm just missing some info.

Greetings Bart

Hi

Did you adapt the rules in your Internet router ? for the wired IP address that is different of the one in wireless of your computer hosting the Emby server ;)

😊 You should use it mainly in wired mode, it's always more reliable all the more for stream ;)

Your Emby remote access likely fails on LAN cable due to a different IP or firewall settings. Check port forwarding, network adapter priorities, and ensure Emby binds to all network interfaces.
