musicmafia 38 Posted January 12, 2025 Posted January 12, 2025 Everything working fine yesterday and today I can't connect to Emby on PC or TV. I'm not very tech savvy so please advise in simple terms if you can help. I recently moved all my media files from two 8TB drives to one 20TB drive. Unplugged the old drives. I read through some old notes from when I changed drives before and added the new path to the new drive and deleted the old path. Re-scanned with the new path and my libraries populated and after that were working perfectly on both PC and TV. I didn't change anything on the TV. It connected automatically, populated all the media from the new drive and the libraries loaded and I enjoyed some shows. I Then today I go to watch Emby on TV and I can't connect. Instead of password, it is asking for IP. I had two IP addresses written in my notes. One had one different digit at end. I tried both but both said Error Connecting. When I click MarksPC nothing happens. Log in manually errors out. I then went to my PC, opened my browser and clicked my bookmark for my localhost page and it will not connect either. Wizard Start page will also not connect. I reviewed quick start guide and cant figure out what to do. Probably some rookie mistake, but it was all working flawlessly last night. Help! Thanks as always for your help!
Solution GrimReaper 4740 Posted January 12, 2025 Solution Posted January 12, 2025 (edited) Is your server actually running? Do you see Emby icon in the tray? In Task Manager, do you have embyserver.exe (or multiple instances) running? Edited January 12, 2025 by GrimReaper 1 1

I have never had to open the app manually before. Normally I just start the PC and it's good to go. I didn't change any settings that I know of. In the startup settings, I just noticed Emby is now listed as disabled. To avoid this issue in the future, should I just enable Emby on startup? Is that the best way to make sure it's always on? THANKS again!!!! MM
