p0k3m0n 2 Posted January 9, 2025 Posted January 9, 2025 Is it possible to change the display of the library in Home videos & photos mode? I'm talking about TV and devices, e.g. Android. Currently it displays in directory mode, which means that if I want to display only movies, I have to go to each directory separately, instead of displaying the whole thing in flat mode. It's the same with photos. This is completely unintuitive, because viewing private collections of videos and photos should be in the form of a gallery, without any internal structure. Can I change the display method?

Doesn't this only work for the web browser? I mean problem is displaying flat content in e.g. TV/VLC in DLNA client. Edited January 9, 2025 by p0k3m0n

p0k3m0n 2 Posted January 9, 2025 Author Posted January 9, 2025 Nope, sorry, doesnt work. I set library as "Home videos & photos", I change yours settings and on browser look great - flat view and switch on top of the page from "videos" to "folders", but in eg. VLC on Android it is still folder view by DLNA network connection.

Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.

On a predefined application (Emby) it works as it should. BTW: interesting piece of software.

I wanted it to work on webOS and Android systems, and here is a supported client and it works great. VLC doesn't have to work in this case since I have a Emby client. I just didn't know that Emby has not only a server but also its own client software. Thank you all for your help. Edited January 9, 2025 by p0k3m0n 1
