You're playing that item in a browser:

2025-01-08 00:22:54.766 Info Server: http/1.1 Response 200 to ::1. Time: 79ms. POST http://localhost:8096/emby/Items/161/PlaybackInfo?UserId=416673b5fa18451fb1e52d237b02ba7e&StartTimeTicks=3192738930&IsPlayback=true&AutoOpenLiveStream=true&MaxStreamingBitrate=200000000&X-Emby-Client=Emby Web&X-Emby-Device-Name=Google Chrome Windows

that doesn't support that particular subtitle codec your English subs are in - resulting in transcoding (and likely subtitle burn-in):

 Since no active Premiere subscription - no HWA:

Quote

2025-01-08 00:22:54.969 Warn App: Hardware acceleration is not available as it requires a valid Premiere Subscription

meaning transcoding is done in software only, taxing your CPU (likely maximizing usage) and kicking your fans in high gear, resulting in:

my computer starts to make so much noise i cant listen to the show.

You can provide ffmpeg log written for that session for more details.

Here is the ffmpeg log:

as for possibles solutions based on your response:

1) i should switch from google to other platforms?

2) i should subscribe to emby premiere to activate HWA?

No, as no browser (that I know of) supports PGSSUB subtitles.

"Codec":"PGSSUB","Language":"eng"

You should actually just obtain external text-based subs (.srt); you can use Emby's download subtitles feature or download them externally and import into Emby.

Manual Subtitle Downloads

It worked!

for anyone wondering where to download:

Also as a heads up do not download the "horriblesubs" option unless you want to get some weird subs.
