What is the best emby app, that will allow for HDR streaming as well as PSG subs to be used without burning in the video. It works on the android app but I can't exactly put that on my TV reliability.

Why not?  A Shield would fit the bill.

I see, do other Android TV boxes support the normal emby app? I have the android TV app a shot but I didn't get the results I wanted. If the android TV/shield can render PSG subs without transcoding then I'm happy.

I think the only limiting factor to what an Android system can handle when speaking of video/audio is if the processor it uses is fast enough.
Never experienced anything to show me otherwise.

Hi, did you end up trying the Shield?

I didn't go for the shield because of the price, but I went with a different Android based operating system. I bought a $20 Android TV from Walmart, and it did exactly what I wanted. The onn Google TV to be specific.
