Anime - Library setup

Hello,

Can anyone send me a setup for anime library? I would like to have Japanese title name of series, but in Latin alphabet. I can get japanese name, but in japanese alphabet or English with latin alphabet. But not Japanese name with latin and under that have latin alphabet either (season, episode name)

 

Like:

name: Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken  ( NOT > That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime)

and under that with Season 1, Season 2 atd.

Name of the episode:  its ok if its will be in japanese or english, but in latin alphabet.

 

Is it even possible to have that setup?

HI, I think this is the right out of box behavior, but the plugin could have an option to force the use of romaji.

For anime - you're good even without "Anime" plugin, which is honestly broken. thetvdb meta provider is really good now for anime and contains titles in japanese, romaji, english and lot of others localizations, thus folder names could be could be in any of formats you like.

About folder structure - what is important, is an show root folder name, and naming in the file like "Some show S1E1.mkv", the part "SxxExx". File naming could be the anything you like, same as you could have season folders or life without them.

I would say - Emby is more versatile and flexible to folder structure, so i recommend to stick to supported Sonarr file structure or any another tool, if there is a plan to manage the library in some automated way.

I've pushed an update to the Emby anime plugin. It has an option on the plugin config screen that will allow you to force the usage of Romaji. Thanks.
