Bug in update 4.8.10.0

On 12/10/2024 Emby had an update version 4.8.10.0. After the update when you select Shows from the menu option the app restarts.  This only happens on the roku sound bar,.  The android phones, iphone and roku tv work fine.  I did restart emby server and the actual pc which is Windows 10.  I also removed and reinstall the emby app on the roku sound bar, same situation.  I found a work around temporarily but unsure of a cure.

For the record I'm experiencing this too, but only when "hide watched" is enabled (red) on the right of the shows grid. Otherwise it doesn't crash.

I tested this by creating a new library, where "hide watched" was disabled by default. This functions as a temporary workaround too.

Hi.  Please let us know if these issues clear up after your Roku updates tonight.

Same situation after the update. I did video the problem which is only occurring on one device, the sound bar.  I may try to replace it and see what happens.

Please reproduce the problem and then immediately re-open the app and  follow the instructions to send a log from the app

As of 12/14/2024 the issue has corrected itself.  I've restarted the server, all devices, installed all updates and it started working correctly after 10 hours.
