Best Current FireTV app?

Howdy all! Just checking on what is out best option these days for Amazon Fire TV Sticks? When searching the Fire Tv Stick's appstore I see 'Emby' app v3.4.16 last updated 07/31/24 and an 'Emby for Fire TV' v2.1.14a last updated 06/11/24. Is one of these the 'going forward' version or should we be sideloading something to have the most features / better compatibility? The release notes seems to point to v2.1.14 but thought i would double check first.

Just noticed this. As recently I made separate post about recent bitrate transcode issues anectdotally on emby for fire tv on most recent linux server. I'll be testing going forward.

I assume there will be no graceful way to transition from emby for fire tv > emby on sticks ? People will have to manually remove/install?

I assume then it will be removed from fire store eventually?

Also hope unlock fees won't be an issue where we have to pay again?

I just tried to install emby - there is no function now to unlock app - the server must have emby premier?
