OpenSubtitles is not working

Hello,

I recently upgraded to a VIP subscription on opensubtitles.org and .com and linked my user account. My OpenSubtitles plugin is at version 1.0.59.0, and I am running Emby version 4.8.10.0.

I've configured the subtitle options for my series to download subtitles and adjusted the subtitle settings. However, I noticed that OpenSubtitles shows 0 requests have been sent, even though I'm trying to download subtitles manually. No subtitles are being found.

Could you please help me understand what might be going wrong?

It looks like you are hitting the limit.

That’s odd because I haven’t downloaded any subtitles yet. As far as I understand, VIP access is required for more API usage, so I should be fine since I just purchased VIP, and my user overview on OpenSubtitles shows zero downloads.

Do you have this scheduled task enabled? If it is then you can churn through API hits. Some things changed recently and while your download limits are based on VIP status the API hits (I believe) are managed at the Emby Corp level.

Jep, 1 reason Bazarr gave us the option to set this.

With 10.000 of subs to go, and only searching for the first 1000 a day.

Rinse & Repeat same 1000, get the picture.

I don’t get what you mean by Emby Corp and what did change exactly, sorry?

And yes I got the task and early triggered it there to run through but OpenSubtitles says 0 downloads still.

Emby Corp entered into an agreement with OpenSubtitles because their new .com API changed to a paid consumer model. I don't know if the devs have posted what differences might now exist between non-VIP and VIP users and if all API hits or only non-VIP user hits might get throttled or if none are.

The download counter and history on OpenSubtitles are hit or miss for me. Not all of my downloads show up.

I've disabled the scheduled task for subtitles and let the server search when new media is added and manual searches since the auto is often incorrect. This keeps my sub search hits and downloads to a reasonable count.

So I removed my credentials from the OpenSubtitles plugin  and waited 6 hours and how added them again, now it works.

Thanks for your help!
