live tv freezes

Environment:  Containerized Emby connecting to iptv provider via containerized wirequard vpn.  Only live tv freezes, media playback is fine. Below is an example of the only error in the logs.  I've tried cart blanche permission on the media and program folders, net_admin capabilities on the containers as well as disabling transcoding.  Also opened port 1900 on the vpn container.  Please advise if there are any things I can try. Next I will try connecting to the ip trv provider outside the vpn container, but this doesn't solve the issue if it works.

Attached a log file. I believe the freezes coincide with the errors seen in the log.

Your problem is low disk space for transcoding. There is only 57MB free which it tries to use, fills up quickly., deletes, fills up, etc

2024-11-13 16:39:35.166 Info EncodingManager: Deleting segment /share/ZFS530_DATA/.qpkg/EmbyServer/programdata/transcoding-temp/89271B/89271B_100.ts due to disk space. Available space: 57622528

I'm also noticing repeating errors trying to lookup user IDs
b49df46593374c5e8fc56246305c845a
24123b1523d349a583707c9b812c3d67

Device IDs
 267a5e4414ebe382
 66536dc9b40d5b25

Errors updating device ID
DLNA: Error updating device info for RM 105

There is login failures and access token failures as well which makes sense if it can't lookup ID

These might all be disk space related.
You need to free up space on the Emby install disk/volume as the remaining little space left will get exhausted by logging alone.

Sorry guys haven't had a chance to respond.  Thank you Carlo's for the advice.  I am wondering where in the log you found the disk space errors.  Anyway, I checked the drive which houses the container and only 11gb remained.  I moved the container to my data drive (terrabytes free striped spinning) and didn't notice a difference.  Since then I've placed a buffer in front of the stream via containerized xteve and noticed haven't had complete freezes in a few hours of watching last night and this morning.  I do still notice small freezes that are recovered from.  And seeing the following error  in the xteve log:

2024-11-18 06:54:19 [xTeVe] [ERROR] unexpected EOF () - EC: 0

My assumption is that by putting a straight buffer with no transcoding in front of emby has helped, but nothing is certain at this point. Any and all advice from the experts is always welcomed.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm sure @Carlocan explain what he saw earlier.

Update: turned out to be the vpn site I was piping all the data through.  Once I switched to a new vpn endpoint, the freezes went away immediately. Still would like to know where @Carlofound those logs.

What he's mentioning I don't see in your logs. He may have gotten mixed up with another issue. @Carlo?

Yep, had multiple tabs open working on a few different things and must have mixed up the thread I posted to. Normally, would figure this out quickly when looking at the other tab I thought I answered but suffered a re-occurring blue screen issue causing me to lose the notes I had for a few tabs.

Sorry about that,
Carlo

Spoiler

I remember this, like it was yesterday as my computer blue screened, then did many rounds of Automatic Repair on startup to no avail. Reverting to a saved restore point would get me back in windows for 30 to 120 minutes, then repeat above. The 3rd or 4th time it happened I noticed an ARC GPU driver was being installed, which I don't have (integrated Intel UHD Graphics as well as Nvidia RTX GPU). I finally uninstalled all things Intel, then clean installed only the correct driver as well as the beta version of Intel Graphics Command Center and haven't had an issue since. That was frustrating
