Show user selection/login screen on startup, but with "remember me"

Hi!

Is it possible to have the user selection screen shown on each startup of the client, like how it does for most other streaming services?

I know it is possible to do if I unselect "Remember me", but then I have to input password every time. Also would prefer not to use PIN-code.

Hi, currently the only way to do this is by setting a PIN code.

Any plans on implementing an easier solution? Maybe an option to toggle such a screen? Old threads seem to indicate there used to be such an option?

@LukeI just realized that one of my Emby clients actually always starts with the user selection screen. The other does not. Both have passwords saved for all 3 local users.

Both clients are Nvidia Shield Pros(2017 vs 2019).

Neither uses Pin. How could this be?

The one where I can choose "Startup behavior" is on Emby version 2.1.21g (on the older Nvidia Shield)

 

The newer Shield has Emby version 3.4.20.

After discovering this, two questions comes to mind:

1. Has this feature been disabled in later versions? Why?

2. Can I get the later version in the older Shield? Despite the lack of "Startup behavior", I have some other issues I hope a newer version might fix(not all episodes correctly marked as watched for example).

After this reply I realized there are, in fact, two different versions of Emby on the Google app store. "Emby for Android" and "Emby for Android TV".
It is not clear when it is recommended to use one over the other, but after reading some in the "testing area"-section of these forums it seems as if "Android for Emby" is the one to get new features faster? With the drawback that it still doesn't have all the features from the older "Emby for Android TV", is this a correct assumption?

Are there plans to bring the user screen selection without PIN to the new app? My users do not need PINs but want to be able select a user on startup similar to Netflix prime etc

This and it would be nice to have access to the side menu from the cog wheel instead of it popping out when you press back key on the remote

Somos 4 en la casa y nadie usa sus usuarios solo saben usar mi cuenta que es la que aparece de primero... y revuelven mi biblioteca
