Can’t connect to server (please keep it simple)

Hello,

I have had an issue with getting my Emby server to work. It will not let me connect to the server - it just comes up with an error (image attached.)

Now, I have tried Googling this, but all of the answers seem very technical, and I don’t have a huge amount of knowledge in this area. I just want to be able to stream shows that aren’t available on my other streaming services.

One thing I have tried; I am able to access the server on Chrome via HTTP.

I was also previously using Plex, which just stopped working after a recent server update.

Does anyone know what could be happening here? Please keep answers simple for my limited technical knowledge.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. Somehow port 8096 had become closed, and after opening it, everything is working.
