IAmHugh 63 Posted October 19, 2024 Posted October 19, 2024 I went in on a fresh install of Emby to finally fix any shows and movies that Emby may have grabbed the wrong metadata for. There are alway at least a handful. When I launched Emby I noticed right away that there were no buttons on continue watching Items, nor the button for the dropdown menu for editing individual shows and movies. I switch browsers to see if it was something being blocked by the browser and got the same thing. I restarted the server to see if that would help and no change. I added the PLEX theme CSS to see if that would force the elements back and no change. I am complete out of ideas and at a loss on how to address this.
IAmHugh 63 Posted October 19, 2024 Author Posted October 19, 2024 OK I just booted into pure Arch and launched Emby where I only have TV Series added right now and all is as it should be, so It's something specific with my Emby install in Garuda.
Luke 42077 Posted October 20, 2024 Posted October 20, 2024 HI, what buttons exactly are you referring to?

IAmHugh 63 Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 @Lukehere is a image from my install in Arch and you can see I have the buttons on the bottom of the preview images.
Carlo 4560 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 If you know how, open the browser debugger and then hover over an icon and see if there are any errors being thrown. Have you entered anything in the Custom CSS box on the system menu? Are you positive you were logged in as an Admin user? Can you bring up the Admin Interface as the user?
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 Took me a minute to figure out what you are talking about but you are referring to the overlaycard buttons ie played/favorie/menu. But nothing to do with Emby as it only applies to the custom css you applied. What version of the Plex Theme did you apply? What browser?
IAmHugh 63 Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 @Happy2Playplease reread my original post, cause I clearly stated that I noticed them missing THEN added the theme to see if that would force them to show up. So in a nutshell it doesn't matter theme or no theme they are not there in Garuda, but are there in Arch. As for the theme version it's the same in both OS's.
Solution Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 21, 2024 Solution Posted October 21, 2024 Just now, CummingCowGirl said: @Happy2Playplease reread my original post, cause I clearly stated that I noticed them missing THEN added the theme to see if that would force them to show up. Guess it could be a Emby issue but will most likely be a Garuda issue or even a specific system, but not a Linux user to test this. But don't think this has ever come up for this browser before either. But either way your first post did not really show any issues described.
IAmHugh 63 Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 Sorry Chromium and then Vivaldi. About to test Firefox. As for my first post I explained the issue as I best could. I tend to agree with you on this possibly being Garuda specific.
IAmHugh 63 Posted October 21, 2024 Author Posted October 21, 2024 (edited) @Happy2Playlooks like you nailed it asking about the browser. I just tested with the theme still in place in Firefox and have the buttons. Will now go into Arch and back up Chromium's default folder there and replace it in Garuda to see if that addresses the issue. EDIT: I think it's most likely specific to this install of the OS cause at mentioned above it happened in chrome as well. Yea it is specific to this install of the OS. IAmHugh 63 Posted October 30, 2024 Author Posted October 30, 2024 I just decided to test out Chromium again to see if a Theme issue for the OS had been fixed yet and it had, so I figured I might as well see if the issue in this thread had been addressed since that has been at least one Chromium update since I last posted and turns out have have everything back.
Luke 42077 Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 How does this page look for you in the your device section: https://hover-pointer-media-query.glitch.me/ It should look like this: Otherwise the browser is reporting that your primary input method is touch, and the Emby Web UI adjusts based on that.
Luke 42077 Posted November 10, 2024 Posted November 10, 2024 @CummingCowGirlare you still having an issue with this? Based on that screenshot, the browser is reporting that you're not using a mouse and that's why the Emby user interface is adjusting based on that.

IAmHugh 63 Posted November 16, 2024 Author Posted November 16, 2024 Has to be a bug within the Chromium code cause I've changed nothing on my end with it. 1
