Apply user data from backup file manually

Hello,

For reasons I don't want to discuss I fell behind many major releases. In an effort to upgrade I backed up my install then popped over to the most recent major version. I did not realize that later versions of emby do not "understand" the back folder format, thus, you cannot apply the backup. I would like to attempt to apply the backup manually. At minimum I would like to extract the already watched data and apply it as I have hundred of movies.

 

Is there anyway to do that?

This should do what you need as a Legacy plugin will read the old backups.

But you have to place the plugin in Emby programdata/plugins folder not system/plugins and since this is Linux I will guess you have to verify permission on the file also as you are manually placing the file in folder.

Ah gotcha. Easy peasy. I'm on Truenas scale. Just never used a non catalog plugin before.
