I have & have contacted a user that i think might be able to help but have not heard back from him yet but another user said he had heard of users using Tailscale but he had not used it himself so could not really comment, so i started this topic as i also want to know users experience of using it if they have

The solution i think is to just pay for a static ip but i will leave topic open over weekend & if any one knows an easier way to bypass cgNAT other than Tailscale as i hear as Tailscale probably isn't going to work with a lot of devices or maybe i am wrong, only been advised by one person.

Thanks

The best thing possible is to remove the CG-NAT via a static IP address vs stacking another network on top of yours that likely won't have support for all your users on all devices.

Tailscale can be run on some home routers and has software for numerous platforms (OSes) like iOS, MAC, LINUX, WINDOWS so your PCs, phones and tablets can work pretty well this way but gets complicated with dedicated devices.  Trust me you don't want to have to try and help get your friends and family setup to use for all their Emby clients or support them when "your system isn't working" because they forgot to start Tailscale or the configuration changed, etc.

Ask me how I know. :)

If it were just your household family members that needed support on tablets, PC and phones it's a different story and pretty easy to use this way.
