Blank Home screen

Hello, I have been using Emby for a while, and it was working fine. However, I recently switched from the Emby Beta to the normal Emby build with the same configuration. I had Emby rebuild the whole library by deleting library.db, library.db-shm, and library.db-wal. After remaking the entire library and scanning it again, the process took around 10-12 hours to complete. However, my Emby home screen is now empty for some reason. I tried accessing it on the web version, iOS version, and smart TV, and it’s empty on all of them.

Does your user have permissions to view those libraries (Settings>Users tab in the sidebar>edit desired user>Access tab)?

Hi.  Something is very broken as your log is full of these:

ResourceNotFoundException: Resource not found. Type: LibraryItem, Id: 164764

Probably related to your attempt to move from beta and only replacing the library.db.  There must've been some other components that changed.

I would suggest a full fresh install.

That is in the library.db so it was already not backed up.  You would need a backup from the prior release version using our backup plugin.

Right and that is probably the root of your issue.  You left some databases at the beta version.

Again, to retain anything, you will need a backup from a prior release version using our backup plugin (or a manual method that backed up everything).

so user list along with their password are stored inside the library.db? so i guess there's no way to backup those then i guess?

Yes, you can use our backup plugin or backup the entire emby folder manually.

However, this would have to be done with a release version of the server (4.8.x).

There is a 'users.db' but trying to take only a piece of the puzzle is what has gotten you to where you are now...

We support full backups and full restores through our plugin.

Yep there were/are permissions issues when adding only the users.db as the library.db usershares table will have issues also.  But toggling Access and Parental Controls on each user corrected the no displayed libraries on Home screen but shows in library setup in my testing.

This is one reason there needs to be a reliable way to export and import users on a NEW setup.  But don't think a reliable way can exist with how user permissions exist.

I'm not positive it it will be the case, but this could still cause you issues as you've taken databases from two different versions.
